TILLER, James A. 74, of Dayton, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 17, 1933, in Seco, Kentucky, to Perry and Vada (Hart) Tiller, who preceded him in death. Jim was a 1951 graduate of Fleming-Neon High School of Letcher County, Kentucky, and was a veteran, of U.S. Army. He retired from the City of Dayton, Division of Fire. Jim was a fireman and a general contractor for remodeling and commercial and residential building. He was a member of the St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia. Jim loved to fish and spend time with his family. He will be missed by his wife, Charlotte M. (Trick) Tiller, whom Jim married on November 29, 1958. Jim is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Jill Tiller of San Antonio, TX.; daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Terry Berger, Fortville, IN.; grandchildren Samuel Tiller, Caroline Tiller, Benjamin Tiller, Rebecca Berger, Douglas Berger; sisters Kathleen Hall, Port St. Lucie, FL., Marcella Blaylock, Plantation, FL.; brother Lawrence Tiller, Georgetown, KY. and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elsie Honeycutt, Betty Law; and brother Gene Tiller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia, with Rev. Francis Keferl officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Grove Cemetery, West National Road, Dayton. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Helping Hands of St. Christopher Parish, 435 E.
