Everett L Ducharme
WEST CHAZY – Everett L.
Ducharme, 85, of the Slosson
Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 8,
1992, at the CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh following
a long illness.
He was born in West Chazy
Oct. 8, 1906, the son of Charles
and Cassie (Lewis) Ducharme.
He graduated from Chazy Central
Rural School in 1923. He
married Bessie M. Kingsbury
April 16. 1941. She died Jan. 4,
1989.
He was a retired farmer and
electrician. He owned and
operated the family farm on the
Slosson Road for many years
and did electrical work
throughout the area.
Survivors include three daughters,
Mary J. Harvey of Champlain
Diane M. Chevalier of
Schenectady and Barbara L.
Wylie of Plattsburgh; three
brothers, Bernard Ducharme
and Herbert Ducharme both of
West Chazy and Harold
Ducharme of Plattsburgh; two
sisters. Marjorie Boswell of
Plattsburgh and Muriel Rooney
of Saratoga Springs, five grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren
and several nieces and
nephews. A brother, Norman
Ducharme, and a sister, Dorothy
LaBarge. died before him.
Calling hours are scheduled for
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at
the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will
Joseph’s Church in West Chazy.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be
made to St. Joseph’s Church or
the West Chazy Rescue Squad

Herbert L. Ducharme

West Chazy ? Herbert L. Ducharme, 85, of Route 22 in West Chazy, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in West Chazy on July 13, 1915, son of Charles and Cassie (Lewis) Ducharme.

Herbert was a dairy farmer in West Chazy all of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy. Herbert enjoyed gardening and reading.

Herbert is survived by his wife, the former Clara St. John of West Chazy, they were married on June 1, 1955; one son, Dennis Herbert Ducharme of West Chazy; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Vernon Walderon of Peoria, Ill.; four grandchildren, Dennis Ducharme, Sara Ducharme, Vernon Walderon and Carrie Stevens; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Stevens, Joshua Stevens and Daniel Stevens; one sister, Muriel Rooney of Saratoga Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Herbert was predeceased by four brothers, Everett Ducharme, Bernard Ducharme, Harold Ducharme and Norman Ducharme; two sisters, Marjorie Boswell and Dorothy LaBarge; and a daughter, Kathy Ducharme.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A prayer service will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at 1 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy.

Burial will be on May 9, 2001, in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Chazy.

Muriel Elizabeth Ducharme

Muriel Elizabeth Rooney
Saratoga Springs , Muriel Elizabeth Rooney, 92, died peacefully Sunday, June 19, 2005, after a brief illness at Saratoga Hospital. She was especially loved and will be greatly missed by her family.

Born in West Chazy, N.Y., on Dec. 12, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cassie (Lewis) Ducharme.

 She graduated from St. Peters High School in Plattsburgh, N.Y., in 1930 and went on to receive her teaching degree in 1933 from Plattsburgh Normal School. She started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse in West Chazy. After raising her family, she resumed her teaching career in the Saranac Central School District, retiring in 1972.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, William L. Rooney Sr.; her brothers, Bernard, Everett, Harold, Herbert and Norman; and her sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie.

Mrs. Rooney is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hartnett and her husband Michael of Clifton Park, Katie Rooney of Coxsackie and Jane Laundree and her husband Jim of Ticonderoga; her sons, Thomas Rooney, Ed.D. and his wife Delores of Walden, N.Y., and David Rooney and his wife Diane of Saratoga Springs; her stepchildren, Patricia Lawrence of Rexford, William L. Rooney Jr. and his wife Ann of Jay, N.Y., and James Rooney and his wife Theresa of Clifton Park. She was the proud grandmother of 18; and great-grandmother of 22; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 8 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the William J, Burke & Sons/Bussing Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373 or burkefuneralhome.com). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at St. Clement?s Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Burial will follow in the family plot at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

LaBarge, 76, died Monday, Feb.
8, 1988. at the CVPH Medical
Center.
She was born in West Chazy
March 5, 1911. the daughter of
Charles and Cassie (Lewis)
Ducharme.
Mm. LaBarge is survived by
two sons, John LaBarge of Troy
and Robert LaBarge of Loudonville;
one daughter, Mrs. Gail
DeLucia of Philadelphia; five
brothers, Everette Ducharme of
West Chazy, Bernard Ducharme
of West Chazy, Harold
Ducharme of Plattsburgh,
Herbert Ducharme of West
Chazy and Norman Ducharme of
Dannemora; two sisters, Muriel
Rooney of Saratoga Springs and
Marjorie Boswell of Plattsbugh;
and six grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9p.m at the
O’ Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral
Home in Dannemora.
A funeral service will be held
at 10 a.m. Thursday at St.
Joseph’s Church in Dannemora.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery
this spring.

Dannemora- Mr Norman C Ducharme.
68 died Sunday April 14 1991 at CVPH
Medical Center.
He was born Sept 25 1922 in West Chazy
the son of Charles and Cassie (Lewis) Ducharme
Mr Ducharme was a correction Officer for 37 years
a 25 year member of the Knights of Columbus 2166
and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in
Dannemora.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary Reynolds Ducharme
three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Deborah) Sullivan of Poughkeepsie
Mrs Anthony (Patricia) Curcio of Poughkeepsie and Mrs John
(Carol) Kennedy of Schenectady. four brothers Everett, Bernard
and Herbert Ducharme all of West Chazy and Harold Ducharme of
Plattsburgh, Two sisters Muriel Rooney of Saratoga Springs and
Marjorie Bosewell of Plattsburgh. three grand chilren. His sister
Dorothy LaBarge, died previously.
Calling hours will be today fro 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at O’neill-
Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Dannemora. A Mass of Christian
burial will be Held Tuesday at 11 am at St Joseph’s Church . Burial
will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
