MOOERS FORKS — Mildred M. Bushey, 84, of State Route 11 in Mooers Forks, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side after a serious illness.

She was born in Mooers Forks, N.Y., June 14, 1926, the daughter of Edmund and Ida (Rabideau) Burdo.

Mildred loved watching her grandsons and sons-in-law, race at Airborne Speedway. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the food network.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Rita Bushey Sr. of Mooers Forks; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gerry Bushey of Glens Falls, Rita and Malcom Woodward of Mooers Forks, Lori and Peter Cenname of Mooers Forks; a sister-in-law, Evalina Burdo of Ellenburg; seven grandchildren, Pamela and Danny Iby of Cadyville, Eugene Bushey Jr. of Rouses Point, James Bushey and companion Catherine of Mooers Forks, Chris Cayea and companion Sally Walker of Mooers Forks, Jennifer Bond and companion Danny LaValley of Mooers Forks, Lynn Deyette and husband Chris of Hudson, two step-grandchildren, Malcolm and Jessica Woodward; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Kallie and Ryker Bushey, Logan Guestella, Kaleb and Emily Bond, Eric, Derek and Dylan Deyette’ and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Bushey; her parents; and three brothers. Leonard, Gene, Francis Burdo.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. from St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

J. Burdo, 81, died Thursday,
March 24, 1988, at CVPH Medical
Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1906. in
Altona, the son of Peter and
Delia (Charland) Burdo.
Survivors include two sons,
Kenneth Joseph Burdo of Plattsburgh
and Earl Joseph Burdo
of Champlain; two daughters,
Mrs. Donald (Bernice) Barcomb
of Mooers and Mrs. Fred (Annette}
LaGoy Jr. of Cadyville;
and his companion, Lillian
Prevo.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. today at Drown Funeral
Home, Mooers. Funeral services
will be at noon Saturday in St.
Ann’s Church, Mooers Forks.
Burial will be in Whispering
Maples Memorial Gardens, Ellenburg
Depot

PLATTSBURGH — Frederick P.
Burdo, 69, died Friday afternoon at
CVPH Medical Center.
He was born March 14, 1908 in
Mooers to Peter and Delia
(Charland) Burdo, and was a dairy
farmer in Altona for years.
He is survived by his wife. Ruby
(West) Burdo; three sons, Clarence
of Amsterdam, Eldon of Altona and
Robert of Plattsburgh; three daughters,
Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Vincent
of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Norman
(Leona) Caron of Colchester, Conn.,
and Mrs. James (Freida) Sayers of
Plattsburgh; three brothers, Peter
and Alfred of Altona and Arthur of
Mooers Forks; 19 grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday
at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown
Funeral Home here. Funeral ser-
vices will be held at 10 a.m. Monday
at St. Joseph’s Church in Treadwells
Mills. He will be buried in St.
Ann’s Cemetery in Mooers Forks in
the spring.

ALTONA — Mr. Peter Burdo, 79,
died Sunday morning at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Irene Trombley
of Ellen burg Center.
He was born Jan. 4,1900 in Altona,
the son of Peter and Delia
(Charland) Burdo.
He was a dairy farmer all his life.
Mr. Burdo is survived by his wife,
the former Nellie Nephew; a son.
Homer of Plattsburgh; five
daughters, Mrs. Howard (Lillian)
Cayea and Mrs. Floyd (Bertha)
Forrette. both of Ellenburg Depot;
Mrs. Lawrence (Irene) Trombley of
Ellenburg Center Mrs. Donald
(Dorothy) Giroux of Plattsburgh
and Mrs. Patrick (Edna) McCabe of
Essex Junction, Vt.; two brothers.
Alford of Altona and Arthur of
Mooers Forks; 23 grandchildren
and 19 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at the
Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
today.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Holy
Angels Church in Altona.
Entombment will be in the parish
cemetery to await spring burial.
