Ocala – Helen K. Rock 82, of Ocala and New York died Friday, June 6, 2014 with her husband by her side.
Helen was born June 13, 1931 in Chazy Lake, NY to the late Thomas Welch and Edith Agoney Welch Barletta. She worked for many years with Georgia Pacific Company. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Rock Franklin, brother, Francis Welch and sister, Josephine Welch Bushey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Vernon; twin daughters, Brenda Fathalla and Linda Buxton; son, Michael Rock; brothers, Leonard Welch and Thomas Welch, sisters, Jane Floyd and Geraldine Langston, many cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and brothers/sisters-in-law.
I thank everyone who cared for her at Timberridge Nursing Home, a caring superb staff. Also, Gentiva Hospice in her final hours. Private services will be held and burial will take place in New York.

Louise W. “Peggy” Spencer, 74, of Maplesville died Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

She was born on Friday, February 3, 1939 in New York, Daughter of the late Thomas Welch and the late Edith Agoney Welch.

Although she was a homemaker for many years, she worked as a nurse, was a crafter and was well known for her cooking. She lived for her grandchildren and loved nothing better than helping others.

Surviving are Husband, William Spencer of Maplesville, AL; Sons, Bill (Sharon) Spencer of Crestview, FL, Dale Spencer of Brent, AL; Grandson, Cole Spencer of Maplesville, AL; Granddaughters, Laci Spencer of Maplesville, AL, Daisy Spencer of Crestview, FL, Sarah Robinson of Crestview, FL; Sisters, Carolyn Rushford of Belleview, FL, Geri Langston of Grove, OK and Helen (Vernon) Rock, Jane Floyd; Brother, Leonard (Julie) Welch, Tommy (Joanne) Welch.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Robert(Fred)Spencer, Parents, Thomas & Edith Welch, Brother, Frank Welch and Sister, Josie Bushey.

Friends will be received from 1-3, Saturday, April 13, 2013 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Gatlin officiating.

WEST CHAZY — Josephine K. Bushey, 67, of West Chazy passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 1, 1942, the daughter of Thomas and Edith (Agoney) Welch Sr.

She loved playing bingo, slots and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren.

Josie was predeceased by her husband, Martin Bushey Sr.; a brother, Francis Welch; a niece, Elaine Rock Franklin; and a nephew, Robert Spencer.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Vassar and her companion, Lyle Russell, and Jennifer Warren and her husband, Tom, all of West Chazy; three of her closest angels and the ones who kept her going, Kylie and Katie Vassar of West Chazy and little Joey Warren, also of West Chazy; a granddaughter, Peggy Bushey, and her two children, Brittney and D.J. Hemingway of South Dakota; and her siblings, Gerry Langston and her husband, John of Oklahoma, Peggy Spencer and her husband, Bill of Alabama, Helen Rock and her husband, Vernon of Florida, Carolyn Rushford and her husband, Ronnie of Florida, and Thomas Welch and his wife, Joanne of Cadyville.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Josie’s memory may be made to her family.

PATRICK WELCH.

Another old pioneer has departed
After an Illness covering the past two
years, Patrick Welch died at his home
about one mile north of the village last
Sunday morning, aged 64 years. The
deceased was born in the town of Chateaugay
and passed his whole life here
and by industry and thrift accumulated
a fair share of the world’s -wealth. He
was an honest, upright citizen, always
willing to assist those in sick ness, sorrow
and need, and his death will be
mourned by many friends. He is survived
by a widow, two daughters and
two sons, who have the sympathy of all
in their affliction. His funeral services
were held on Tuesday morning at St.
Patrick’s chorea, Rev. P. J. Devlin, of
officiating.

of the war of the sixties and had
been a sufferer from chronic asthma
for many year.. At last, his lungs
became involved and the end came.

circle of friends to mourn his loss
