ICLE L. KEATING, 101, died Oct. 4, 2003, at The Inn of Chestnut Hill, Columbus.

She was born July 20, 1902, in Lakeview to Willard and Mary Elizabeth Pugh Reed, who preceded her in death. On April 11, 1921, in Lakeview, she married Wilbur M. Keating, who died Oct. 3, 1964.

Mrs. Keating had been a nurse at the Lima State Hospital for 21 years. She was a charter member of Chapter 459 Order of Eastern Star, Bellefontaine.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary L. Hanger of Indian Lake; a brother, Kenneth A. (Florence) Reed of Westminster; two sisters, Cleola Jenkins of Lakeview and Helen V. Norviel of Lewistown; four grandchildren, James W. Hanger, Cynthia L. Apple, John Joseph Keating and Patrick Keating; and 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John W. Keating; two brothers, Wilford and Glenn Reed; and a sister, Ople Shoffner.

Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Kenneth A Reed

KENNETH A. REED

KENNETH A. REED, 91, died at 7:25 a.m. June 7, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 11, 1912, in McGuffey to James Willard and Mary Pugh Reed, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 4, 1936, he married Florence Heffner, who survives.

Mr. Reed retired in 1975 as a guard from the Lima State Hospital and had worked as a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member of Westminster United Church of Christ, Westminster.

Survivors also include two sons, David Lee (Laurabeth) Reed of Defiance and Darrel (Marilyn) Reed of Kenton; a daughter, Patricia (David L.) Liebert of Elida; two sisters, Cleola Jenkins of Indian Lake and Helen Noviel of Lewistown; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilford, Glenn and infant Elmer Reed; and two sisters, Icle Keating and Opal Shoffner.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. The Rev. Gale Gebhart will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster United Church of Christ or the Harrod Rescue Squad.
