WEST CHAZY — Martin I. Bushey Sr., 73 of West Chazy, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a long illness.

He was born in Peru on Nov. 29, 1933, the son of Israel “Zeke” and Adeline (White) Bushey.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Welch) Bushey; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle Vassar and companion Lyle Russell and Jennifer and Tom Warren, all of West Chazy; four children from a previous marriage, Nancy Boula of South Dakota, Martin Bushey Jr., Grace Falder and Mary Lou Hart, all of Plattsburgh; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Viola (Leonard) Hoseler of Malone, Mrs. Belle (David) Duval of Plattsburgh, Leeward Bushey Sr. of Plattsburgh and Edward Bushey of Chazy; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Mary Provost and Margaret Wood; and two brothers-in-law, David Duval and Hoseler.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home, 94 Court Street in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Leeward M. BusheySr., 68, of Lyons Road, Plattsburgh, N.Y. passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh on March 14, 1944, the son of Isreal and Adeline (White)BusheyLeeward was employed as a custodian at Plattsburgh Air Force Base for many years. He was a member of the Peru Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Busheyof Plattsburgh; his children and their spouses; Sharon Bushey and companion Tim Manion of Plattsburgh, Tina Bushey of Peru,^ Leeward Jr. and Wendy Bushey of Plattsburgh, Sandra and Frank Nigro of Ohio, Kevin Bushey and companion Melissa Deslile of Plattsburgh, Gail and Clifford Lashway of Morrisonville, Brian Bushey of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Viola Hostler of Albany, Lily Bell Duval of Schuyler Falls; a brother and sister in-law, Edward and Helen Bushey of Plattsburgh; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Martin Bushey, his sisters; Margaret Wood and Mary Provost, a brother in law; David Duval, a nephew; Richard Duprey Jr.; and a niece LisaBushey.

Calling hours will be held on from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh.

Joseph (Wally) Bushey

JOSEPH (WALLY) BUSHEY, 77, died on June 29, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1930, the son of John and Eveline (Tender) Bushey.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at the Holy Name Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Phillip Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Holy Name Cemetery in AuSable Forks.

Gloria M Bushey

GLORIA M. BUSHEY, 83, formerly of Sailly Avenue and most recently of the Samuel S. Vilas Home, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Malone March 25, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Dora Josephine (Riley) Bushey.

Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Rome, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.

PLATTSBURGH — Ronald A. Bushey, 43, of Route 9 in Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 24, 1964, son of Wilfred and Linda (Steele) Bushey.

Ron graduated from Beekmantown High School in 1982. Ron was an avid fisherman, camper and gardener. He enjoyed working with his hands and had a BIG heart. Ron was a very family oriented man. He will be missed by the lives he touched.

Ron is survived by his son, Ronnie of Plattsburgh, his mother, Linda Steele of Arizona; his fiancé, Lisa Mills of Plattsburgh; three brothers, John Bushey and companion Jodi Adams of Plattsburgh, Scott Bushey and his wife Sandra of West Chazy, Daniel Bushey and his wife Kerry of Plattsburgh; one sister, Sandra Feddick and her husband Kim of Chandler, Ariz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is predeceased by his father, Wilfred Bushey.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 23, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

PLATTSBURGH — Lisa M. Bushey, 33, formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 25, 1976, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Lapham) Bushey.

She was a member of the Step Ahead line dancing group. She enjoyed computers, outdoor activities and spending time with her daughter, Shyanna Bushey.

She is survived by her daughter, Shyanna Bushey; her companion Bill Warner; her parents, Edward and Helen Bushey of Plattsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Randy Hoistion of Plattsburgh, Karen and Jason Cayea of Rouses Point; her nephews, James and Scott Bushey; her nieces, Kiah Hoistion, Kayla Nichols, Tracy Hoistion, Julie Hoistion and fiancé Adam Roshia; her great-nephew and great-niece, Kaleb and Sierra Hoistion; her adopted brother, Mitchell Graham; and several aunts and uncles.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Barbara and Leon Lapham, Adeline and Harold Baker.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Dec., 19, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh.

Funeral services follow at 8 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in the spring.

Alton W Bushey

WEST CHAZY — Alton W. Bushey, 83, of the Golden Road and formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in West Chazy on July 26, 1925, the son of Phoenix Artemis and Edith (Baldwin) Bushey.

Al married the former Joyce LaBounty at St. Peter’s Rectory in 1945.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle, with a kind soul, whose light shown brightly and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

An avid Yankees fan, Al enjoyed the simple things in life — …watching baseball, country music, fishing, the great outdoors and visiting with his buddies at Dave’s TV. Al was a great history buff and was filled with many stories of his childhood. He was a 1944 graduate of Plattsburgh High School and moved to Schenectady to work at General Electric for several years. In 1959, he relocated his family to Plattsburgh, where he started Al’s Television Sales and Service, which he operated on the Quarry Road and Miller Street for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Barry Dwyer of Beekmantown, Carolyn and Randy Tetreault of Chazy and Beverly and Donald Benfer of Saratoga Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Adrienne Bushey of Apopka, Fla., Alan and Molly Bushey of Plattsburgh and Bill and Terri Bushey of Acworth, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, Danny, Phoenix, Kenneth, Amy and Hannah Bushey, Ian and Matt Dwyer, Kristin McAuliffe, Nicolette and Chantal DuBrey, Maxwell and Paige Benfer; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Jack and Abigail; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Anita Bushey LaBounty.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will beheld Monday at 10 a.m. at the Robert W. Walker Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in West Chazy Rural Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Dialysis Center at CVPH Medical Center.

PLATTSBURGH � Clarence R. Bushey, 76, of Oak Street passed away Sunday, July 3rd, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 4, 1929, son of the late Leo and Eva (Deno) Bushey. Clarence was a graduate of Mount Assumption Institute, class of 1948, he served in the United States Navy in Korea from 1949 to 1952. He was a fuel-oil delivery man for A. Fortin�s Sons for over thirty years, prior to his retirement. Clarence was a life time member of American Legion Post 20 and a life time member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125. He enjoyed bowling and writing in his journals.

Clarence is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Pauline A. Bushey of Plattsburgh, one son, Dale R. Bushey and Mary (Parker) Bushey, four daughters, Margaret and Donald Surprenant of Champlain, Donna M. Bushey of Plattsburgh, Bonnie and Hector “Jesse” Creamer of Ayer, Massachusetts, Jean and Reginald Bellerive of Plattsburgh, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Clarence was pre-deceased by his daughter, Gail Bushey, and a brother, William Bushey. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 5, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Members of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will meet Tuesday evening at 7:30 for services. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at 10 a.m. from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward J Bushey

ALTONA — Edward J. Bushey Sr., 97, of the Irona Road, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Altona, N.Y., Aug. 2, 1912, the son of George and Alphosenia Bushey.

Edward worked for the New York State Department of Corrections at Clinton Correctional Facility as a correction officer for 33 years, retiring in 1973 and also operated a dairy farm in Altona. After retiring, he drove for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Clinton County and was a member of the Good Fellowship Club in Mooers, N.Y. Edward served as town councilman in the Town of Altona from 1986 to 1991. He enjoyed horse racing and traveling to Saratoga Race Track. His greatest love were Sunday dinners with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edward is survived by five children, Barbara Williams of Altona, Brenda Rabideau and her husband Milton of Altona, Donna Dragoon and her husband Larry of West Chazy, Edward Bushey Jr. and his wife Betty of Altona, Richard Bushey of Altona; 11 grandchildren, Mary Williams and her companion Norm Bonneau, Amy Stevenson and her husband Rich, Debbie LaPier and her companion Ray Gaudreau, David Rabideau and his wife Sue, Kelly Gilman and her companion Lance Forkey, Aaron Dragoon and his wife Michelle, Tara Dragoon and her companion Dennis Hoyt, Jason Bushey and his wife Nicole, Kristie Gregory and her husband Jessie, Heather Magoon and her husband Allen and Bradley Bushey; eight great-grandchildren, Barry LaPier, Troy Rabideau, Brittany Williams, Ethan Stevenson, Calvin and Kelsey Magoon, McKenna and Brayden Bushey and Kaleb Gregory; a sister, Leona Willette of Florida; and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Edward was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Ellen Mary Bushey; seven brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, Steven Williams.

Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. from Holy Angel’s Church in Altona. Burial will follow in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.
