News Death Notice

SCHOEN, Luella Day “Kate” Age 89 of Miamisburg, formerly of Kettering, passed away Monday, October 6th, 2008 at the Liberty Retirement Community. Luella was born on April 28th, 1919 in Dayton to Albert H. and Helena M. (Clifton) Day. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, to whom she married on July 10th, 1937, Urban Otto Schoen on July 1st, 1985; her sister, Betsy Marcum; and three brothers, Paul, Earl and Herbert Day. She is survived by her five children, Margaret (Bill) Roark of Miamisburg, Virginia Osburn of Kettering, Nancy (Mike) Santoro of Beavercreek, Linda Murphy of Springboro and Billy Schoen and his fiancé, Cheri Pendley of Washington Township; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles (Betty) Day, Homer Day and Raymond Day; and numerous other relatives. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Springboro and a honorary member of the Red Hat Hotties.
