High Banks � Mrs. Freda I. Gadway, 90, of the Standish Road died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility.

She was born in Ellenburg on May 20, 1909, the daughter of the late Fred and Ada (Welch) Bruso.

Freda was a member of the High Banks Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and cooking.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Ronald Gadway and his wife Judy of South Royalton, Vt., and Donald Gadway and his wife Lois of High Banks; three daughters, Penny and Eugene Dickerman of Redford, Joyce and Roger Windover of High Banks and Sandy and Robert Caster of Saranac; two brothers, Truman “Jack” Bruso of Plattsburgh and Harley and Dorothy Bruso of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Leah Gadway of Duane and Connie Fifield of Schenectady; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Freda was predeceased by her husband, Orville E. Gadway and a son, Wayne Gadway.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 4 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Park Row, Cadyville, with Pastor Gene Thomas officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Independence Cemetery in Saranac.
