  1. Sharron N Geoff Hewston: Sorry I meant to list my Grand Uncle Roy J. Sheffield’s name correctly for the record. He was the youngest of 5 children born to Arthur and Mary Elizabeth “Libbie: Vassar Sheffield. I listed it as Roy S. Sheffield, but it should have been Roy J. Sheffield. ~ Sharron Hewston, Arthur and “Libbie” Great Granddaughter. ~ 27th Nov. 2014

  2. Updated info ref. Elizabeth Vassar, my Great Grandmother. Her full name was Mary Elizabeth, but she known locally as “Libbie”. Arthur and “Libbie” Vassar Sheffield had 5 children, Rocha “Roxie” Sheffield ~ Wilkins, Sidney Sheffield, Isabelle “Belle” Sheffield ~ Trombley (who predeceased her mother) William ( “Billy” was my Grandpa) Sheffield, and their youngest child, Roy J. Sheffield. My G~Grandma, “Libbie” was asthmatic. In the Spring, I will be visiting their final resting place at the St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Black Brook Hamlet again, and will be taking a photo. I thank you for sharing her obit, and her brothers. ~ Sharron Hewston, Arthur and “Libbie” Great Granddaughter
