BE BURIED TODAY

Funeral services for David Stone,
forty-ftve, of North Margaret St.,
this city, will be held this morning
at eight o’clock in St. Peter’s church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s cemetery.
Mr. stone is survived by his wife,
two daughters, Mrs. F. Rock and
Mrs. V. Fauctor; four sons, David,
Floyd, Norman and Jean; four sisters,
Mrs. B. Stacy, Mrs. A. Champlain,
Mrs. R. Win and Mrs. M.
Rascoe of Plattsburgh; three brothers,
Alhert and Peter Stone of
Plattsburgh and Arthur of Massachusetts,
besides three grandchildren;
three step-brothers and a
step-sister

GRAND PRAIRIE. Texas –
Merritt F. Stone. 51. formerly of
Plattsburgh. died Oct 24. 1991,
at Dallas Fort Worth Medical
Center Hospital.
He was bom in Plattsburgh
Jan. 30, 1940. the son of Albert
and Lillian (Agoney) Stone.
Survivors include five
brothers. Herman Stone of Peru.
Ralph Stone of Fort Myers. Fla..
Waldon Stone of Plattsburgh.
Leon Stone of Plattsburgh and
Calvin Stone of Schwartz.
Texas: a sister. Leona Lavigne
of Beek man town and several
nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass mill be celebrated
Friday at 9 a.m. at St.
Peters Church Burial will
follow in St. Peter s Cemetery-.
Arrangements are by the
Brown Funeral Home. Plattsburgh

Mrs. Elizabeth Stacy
Dies After Heart Attack

Mrs. Eizabeth Stacy of 4211
Margaret St., died unexpectedly
Friday at Champlain Valley
Hospital after a heart attack.
She was born in Plattsburgh
on May 22. 1893, a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Stone.
She was a member of the
Gold Star Mothers.
Mrs. Stacy is survived by her;
husband, Benjamin four sons,
James and Marvin of Plattsburgh,
Arthur of Springfield,
Mass., and Kenneth of Pasadena,
Texas; three daughters,
Miss Frances Stacy of Plattsburgh
and Mrs. Norman Lavene
and Mrs. Carl Brown of Morrisonville.
Also two brothers, Arthur
Stone of Satlgus, Mass., and Peter
Stone of Plattsburgh three
sisters, Mrs. Virginia Desrocher,
Mrs. Sophia Champagne and
Mrs. Mary Rascoe, all of Plattsburgh
20 grandchildren, and
eight great-grandchildren.
The body is at the residence
where calling hours will be this
afternoon.
A funeral mass will be sung
at St. Peter’s Church at 9 a.m.
Monday, with burial in the
church cemetery.

Albert Stone of  36 Sorption Ave
died at his home Friday afternoon
(Nov 13,1959) at the age of 71.
A lifelong resident of Plattsburgh
Mr Stone was born Mar 4 1888
a son of James and Virginia (Scott)
Stone. In recent years he was
employed at Cumberland Hotel.
Mr Stone is survived by his wife
the former Lillian Agnew, six
sons Ralph, Waldon and Leon of
Plattsburgh Herman or North
Tourwanda, Merritt of Potsdam,
Calvin Stone with the U.S Marines
at Camp Lejeanne,Mrs Leon Latour
of Plattsburgh, Mrs Ernest Tallman
of Beekmantown, and Mrs Lyman
LaVigna of Chazy.
Also surviving are 29 grandchildren
19 great grandchildren two brother
Peter Stone of Plattsburgh and
Arthur Stone Lynn, Mass and four
sisters, Mrs Herry Rascoe,Mrs
Arthur Champagne, Mrs
Benjamin Stary and Mrs Walter
Dourcher all of Plattsburgh.
The body is at the Stone
Residence at 36 Sorption Ave.
Funeral services will be held at
St Peter’s Church Monday morning
at 9. Burial will be in the parish
cemetery.

St died Thursday in Champlain
Valley Hospital after a
long illness.
Mr. Stone was a retired laborer
He was oorn in Plattsburgh
Jan. 13, 1887.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Elizabeth Beshon;
six sons. Henry Desrocher and
George. Joseph. David and Willard
Stone, all of Plattsburgh
and Peter Stone Jr. of Troy: 12
daughters. Mrs. Wiilard Mhier.

Raymond Seymour, Mrs. Raymond
Baker. Mrs. Eugene Provost,
Miss Florence Stone. Mrs.
Eugene Fountain and Mrs.
Gary Way. all of Plattsburgh.
and Mrs. Alfred Anderson. Mrs.
Roland Dennis. Miss Cecre
Stone and Miss Prisciila Stone,
all of Troy: 55 grandchildren.
40 great-grandchildren: a brother,
Arthur Stone of Boston,
Mass and three sisters. -Mrs
Walter Desrocher. Mrs. Mary

all of Plattsburgh.
Friends may call at the Stone
residence on Upper Rugar St.
starting this evening.
