Lenet T. King

PLATTSBURGH — Lenet T. King, 80, of Independence Drive, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Ellenburg on March 12, 1931, the daughter of William and Ethel (Miller) Carter.

Lenet married Francis L. King on May 1, 2001, in Peru.

Lenet retired from the CVPH Medical Center in 1993 after many years in the Sterile Processing Department.

Lenet enjoyed time spent with her family, her home, gardening, flower arranging, reading, traveling, shopping and her Senior Fitness Classes. She also held a special fondness for her shopping excursions with her younger sister, Darlene.

Survivors include her husband, Francis of Plattsburgh; her children, Bruce Germain and his wife, Donna of Peru, Brian Germain and his companion, Annie Chauvin of Plattsburgh, Judy Lynn Lee and her husband, Bob of Bridgeton, N.C., Estella Butts and her companion, Clinton Isham of Plattsburgh; and her stepchildren, Deborah Wade and her husband, Bob of Cummings, Ga., Cindy Jenkins and her husband, Dave of Queensbury, Frances Leombruno and her husband, Armando of Queensbury and Raymond King of Schenectady; three brothers, Floyd Carter of Buffalo, Loyal Carter and his wife, Noelia of Malone and Leon Carter and his wife, Rita of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Hilda Lagasse of Ellenburg and Darlene LaBombard and her husband, Dale of Dannemora; one sister-in-law, Betty Carter of Brewerton, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Kyle Dominy, Keith Germain, Ashley Germain and Taylor Germain; one great-grandchild, Bayleigh Dominy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Edwin Carter.

Calling hours will be private at the convenience of the family at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh.

Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
