She was predeceased by husband Ernest.

She is survived by son, Alan Titus (Carrie Perry); daughter, Cindy Pragle; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Crystal) Barcomb, James (Gay) Barcomb and Alan (Gail) Barcomb; nieces and nephews.

‘Pete’ AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest on Monday, January 3, 2011, Mr. Roland H. (Pete) Barcomb, 83, husband of Margaret (Peg) Delaney Barcomb. Mr. Barcomb was a native of Ellenburg, NY. He was a resident of Augusta for the last 30 years. He was a Full Covenant member of the Alleluia Community, Secular Franciscan Order and KAIROS. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Peter Barcomb (Karen), Paul Barcomb (Ginette), the late Patrick Barcomb (Debbie), Daniel Barcomb (Susan), and Richard Barcomb (Beth): daughters: Annette Eyrich (Kurt), Rosemary Hutchings, the late Deborah Hansen, Kathleen Cammilleri (Mike) and the late Michelle Contant (Denis); brothers: Ray, Allen and James Barcomb; sisters: Shirley Titus and Suzanne Bisco; fifty grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 6 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church, a Rosary and Celebration of Life Service will follow. 52, of Coen Street in Naugatuck, Conn., died due to a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in New Haven.
Mr. Barcomb was born on Oct. 20, 1949, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the son of Della (Dupre) Barcomb of Plattsburgh and the late Francis Barcomb.
Services were previously held in Naugatuck, Conn. Arrangements were with Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home. Burial was in St. James Cemetery.

Myra Miller died Tuesday
Miller died Tuesday morning at
Saranac Lake General Hospital.
A resident of Saranac Lake for 55
years, she resided at 40 Olive St.
with her husband. She was 84 years
of age.
She was born on April 21, 1894 in
Ellenburg, the daughter of Fargna
Barcomb and Marcy Jodaue. She
was a retired waitress having worked
in various area hotels and
restaurants including the Hotel
Saranac, the St. Regis and the
Saranac Inn. Mrs. Miller was also
employed at the Troy Laundry.
She is survived by her husband,
Frank of Saranac Lake, one
brother, George Barcome of Altona,
two sisters, Mrs. Lena Delfs of
Saranac Lake and Mrs. Ida Fleming
of Winooski, Vt., several nieces and
Friends may call at the Keough
and Son Inc. Memorial Chapel today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Bible vigil
service will be today at 8 p.m. at the
Keough Chapel. Mass «f Christian
burial Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at St.

Herbert Barcomb
Joseph Barcomb. 94, of
Augusta, Ga., and formerly of
Chateaugay and Burke, died
Monday, Oct. 21, 1991, at
Heritage House Nursing Home
in Augusta.
He was born Oct. 5, 1897. in
Ellenburg Center, the son of
John and Elizabeth (Richards)
He had been a dairy farmer for
many years and married the
former Leona LaBarre.~She died
Oct. 29, 1980.
Survivors include five sons,
Roland of Augusta, Ga.. Donald
of Middleton, Conn., Allen and
Raymond, both of Rochester,
and James of Webster; two
daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Shirley)
Titus of Rochester and Mrs.
Joseph (Susan) Bisco of Flint,
Mich.; 39 grandchildren and 45
great-grandchildren. Two sons,
Clayton and Eldon; a daughter.
Barbara LaGrave; five sisters,
Jennie, Ella, Viola, Lizzie, and
Mary; two brothers, Henry and
Fred; and a grandson, Edward
LaGrave, died earlier.
Calling hours will be 7 to 8
p.m. Wednesday at Chateaugay
Funeral Home. A vigil wake service
will be held there at 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m.
Thursday at St. Patrick’s
Church in Chateaugay with the
Rev. Fay W. Ager celebrating
the Mass of Christian burial.
Burial will follow in the parish

87, died Wednesday night at the
Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone. He
was born Oct. 25, 1892, in the town
of Clinton, the son of John and
Elizabeth (Richards) Barcomb.
He was a farmer in the
Churubusco, Chateaugay and
Burke area, until he retired in

Mrs. Jennie Patnode of Massena;
a foster son Walter Patnode Jr. of

Chateaugay; four granchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.

a.m. Friday at the George Church
in Burke. Burial will be in St.

She was born Dec. 10, 1886, in
Churubusco, the daughter of
Henry and Elizabeth (Hawksby)
Survivors include two daughters,
Mrs. Harold (Madora)
LaBombard of Massena and
Mrs. Roxie Sweeney of Pacific
Grove, Calif.; two sons, Walter
Patnode of Syracuse and Gerald
Patnode of Baltimore; a brother,
Herb Barcomb of
Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren
and several great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Irene Hodlin, and
four sons, William, Francis,
Raymond and Floyd, died
Calling hours will be at the
E.F. Drown Funeral Home in
Ellenburg from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. today. Funeral services will
be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St.
Edmund’s Church. Burial will be
in Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg
Center at a later date.

Died Sunday
At Malone
Following a long period of ill health
Fred Barcomb, of Churubusco,
died in the Alice Hyde Hospital on
Sunday. The deceased had been a
Patient in the hospital since January
12th. He underwent an operation
for the amputation of a leg.
the deceased was born in Churubusco
on June IS, 1884, a son of the
late John and Elizabeth (Richards)
Barcomb. His entire lifetime was
passed in that town where he followed
the occupation of farming. Mr.
Hat-comb was well known and highly
respected and lived a Christian life.
The deepest measure of sympathy is
expressed sued to the sorrowing members
of his family.
Forty five years ago Mr. Barcomb
married Mrs, Wesley Hawksiby, the
former Albina LaBarre. Her death
accurred five years ago.
Surviving are one son, Joseph A.
Barcomb, and a granddaughter Jean,
Churubusco; three sisters, Mrs.
Fred Merchat, Syracuse; Mrs. Rufus
Patnode, Ellenburg- Viola Barcomb,
Buffalo; two brothers, Herbert, Churubusco;
and Henry, Chateaugay;
also four stepddaughters, Mrs. Ross
Taylor, North Bangor; Mrs. Augustus
Paquette, Rochester; Mrs. Floyd Leclair,
Port Crane, N. Y.; Mrs. Hazel
Dion, Florence Mass.
Funeral services were held at St.
Pliilomena’s Church at Churubusco
on Tuesday morning, Rev. Albert H.
Richardson officiated. Committal
services were made in the vault at
the church cemetery.
