Mooers Forks — Gertrude M. Gadway, 99, formerly of Route 11 in Mooers Forks, passed awayFriday, Aug. 13, 2010, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.

She was born at EllenburgJune 19, 1911, the daughter of Israel and Salina (Robert) Dupree.

Gertrude in earlier years was an active member of the St. Ann Society and various senior citizens groups. Her hobbies consisted of crocheting, knitting and reading. She was employed at Mooers Central School Cafeteria for many years.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Jerome Pagano of Thornwood, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Trombley of Plattsburgh; four stepsons, Leo Gadway Jr., Gerald Gadway and wife Marilyn, Dennis Gadway and wife Shirley, Leonard and Florence Gadway, all of Mooers Forks; two step daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Doris) LaValley of Mooers Forks, Mrs. Hugh (Norma) Miller of Norwood; six grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry N. Trombley; her second husband, Leo Gadway; a son, Richard Trombley; seven brothers; and five sisters.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at 2 p.m. from St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.

Memorial donations may be offered to a charity of one’s choice.

CHATEAUGAY — Gerald F. Jerry Dupree Jr., 48, of State Route 11, Chateaugay, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y.
He was born in Malone, N.Y., on July 6, 1954, the son of Gerald and Grace (LaFave) Dupree.
He was married to Kyna Cowan on Sept. 21, 1996, in the Chateaugay United Methodist Church by Rev. Martin Ayer.
Jerry is survived by his wife of six years; his parents of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kevin and Donna Dupree of Milford, Pa., David and Mary Dupree of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Dale Dupree of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Karen and Greg Harkenrider of Duanesburg, N.Y., Mary Dupree of Plattsburgh and Rose Dupree and her fianc

MALONE — Daniel R. Dupree, 48, of 121 California Road in Malone, died on Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. He had been a patient there since March 8, 2000.
Born in Malone on Aug. 10, 1951, he was the son of Robert T. and Edna Decosse Dupree.
He graduated from Chateaugay High School in 1969 and attended New York State University at Canton. On Oct. 12, 1979, he was united in marriage to the former Alice M. LaPage Plumadore in Westville. Mr. Dupree was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Alcoa in Massena for over 26 years. He retired on Feb. 1, 2000, because of his health. He was an active communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Westville. He was a member of the Alcoa 25-year club and served on the board of directors of Coville Bay Senior Housing. He was a member of the Harness Horse Association and a life member of the N.R.A. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; his parents, Robert and Edna Dupree of Chateaugay; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Dupree of Chateaugay; one son, Jeremy Dupree who lives at home; one stepdaughter, Desiree Plumadore of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Ricky Dupree of Brashton and Steven and his wife Lisa Dupree of Malone; three sisters, Donna and her husband Barry Barnes of Chateaugay, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Wood and her companion Marty Shaw of Malone and Lori Dupree and her companion Greg Fleury of Burke; one stepgrandson, Colby Plumadore of Houston, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Constable, with the Rev. Garry Giroux officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable.
Donations may be made in his memory to either Our Lady of Fatima Church or the Franklin County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

The community was shocked and
deeply saddened to learn of the doath
of Thomas J. Dupree, one of our
best known and highly respected resid<
nts, which occurred at the Alice
Hyde Hospital, Malone, on Saturday
morning after a long illness.
The deceased was born at Ellenburg
Center on October 6, 1897, a
son of the late Israel and Celina
(Robert) Dupree. For the past 31
years he had been a resident of
Chuteaugay where he followed the
occupation of farming. The deceased
was an honorable upright man, a
st adfast Christian and was devoted
to his home and family ties.
The deepest measure of sympathy
is expressed to the sorrowing members
of his family. *
On December 29, 1924 his marriage
to Miss Margaret Silver, daurhter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Pherence Silver,
took place at St. Philomena’s
Church, Churubusco.
He leaves his wife, two sons, Robert,
Chateaugay; Maynard, Elba,
N. Y.; and one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence
(Norma) Nichols, Churubusco;
seven grandchildren. A son, Richard
died four years ago.
Six sisters and five brothers also
survive: Mrs. Marie Pennell, Boston;
Mrs. Donald Wills , Albany; Mrs!
Lyndon LaBarge, Dannemora; Mrs.
Geeorge Yelle, Ellenburg; Mrs. Henry
Trombly, Mooerrs Forks; Mrs. Lucien

Louis and Roy, Chateaugay; and Donald,
Horseheads, N. Y.
Funeral services teok place at St.
Patrick’s Church Tuesday morning.

a brief Illness,
Born In EUenburg, she was a
daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs.
Israel Dupree, but had lived
most of her life In New York
City, where her husband, Andrew,
died this summer.
After her husband’s death she
returned to this area and was
making her home with a sister,
Mrs, George (Delia) Yelle, In
EUenburg Center,
Besides Mrs. Yelle, she Is survived
by four other sisters, Mrs,
Marie Pennell of Boston, Mass,,
Mrs. Elizabeth LaBarge of Dannemora,

LaBarge, 89; of Dannemora, died-
Wednesday, June 24, 1992, at
the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Ellenburg,
June 14, 1903, the daughter of
Israel and Salina (Robert)
She was an active member of
the Plattsburgh Golden Age Club
and Dannemora Happy Mountaineers
Seniors Club. She also
 served as election inspector for
many years.
 She is survived by one son and
daughter-in-law, Calvin and
Theresa LaBarge of Chateaugay;
one daughter and son-in-law,
Marcella and Terry Trudeau of
Brushton; a daughter-in-law,
June LaBarge of Brushton; two
brothers, Louis Dupree of Burke
and Donald Dupree of Breesport;
a sister, Gertrude Gad way of
Mooers Forks; six grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Lyndon, a son,
Leonard LaBarge, four brothers,
and five sisters died earlier.
Calling hours will be held today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
.the O’Neill-Redden-Drown
Funeral Home in Dannemora.
A Mass of Christian burial will
be held Friday at noon at St.
Joseph’s Church in Dannemora.

Modest Dupree, 64, of Churubusco
died May 14th at the C. V.
Medical Center at Plattsburgh
following a heart condition for
the past year.
Born in Ellenburg on December
3, 1906, a son of Israei and
Salina Dupree, he lived all his
life in this area. For years he was
engaged in farm ing and later was
self employed as a carpenter and
On December 26, 1927 he was
united in marriage to Miss Bertha
Miller who survives. Other survivors

daughter, Mrs. Donald (Shirley)
Snide of Churubusco; 9 grandchildren;
two brothers, Louis

Donald of Horseheads; five sisters,
