Anian LaBombard

ELLENBURG—Anian LaBombard,
70, died Sunday in the
Alice Hyde Hospital after a long
illness.
He was born August 3. 1895 in
Ellenburg, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph LaBombard.
He is survived by four sons,
Austin, of Chateaugay. and
Richard, Lee. and Paul all of
Ellenburg; Four daughters,
Mrs: Robert (Marguerite) Colgan.
Mrs. Donald (Lucile) LaClair
and Miss Mae, LaBombard, all
of Ellenburg:- three sisters Mrs
Blanche Bilow of Malone.
 Mrs. Charles (Viola)
Willette-of Ellenburg Center,
and Miss Rita LaBombard of
Champiain; his step-mother,
Mrs. James Nichols, and 25
grandchildren.
The body is at the Drown Funeral
Home. Services will be
Tuesday at 9:30 am. at St Edmund’s
Church. The body will
be placed in the vault of St. Edmund’s
Cemetery to await burial in the spring.

Vernard La Bombard

BURKE — Vernard La Bombard.
82, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 1983, at
the Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone.
He was born in Ellenburg Center
on Sept. 19, 1901, the son of Joseph
and Lena (Miller) La Bombard.
Survivors inelude four daughters,
Mrs. John E. (Lena) Peryea of
Ellenburg. Mrs. John (Thelma) La
Plante of Burke. Mrs. Howard
(Naomi) Morrison of Churubusco
and Mrs. Eugene (Bernice) Vaughn
of Peru; one son. Eugene La Bombard
of Morrisonville; two sisters,
Blanche Bilow of Malone and Rita
La Bombard of Champlain; 20
grandchildren and 30 greatgrandchildren.
Calling hours will be at the Drown
Funeral Home in Ellenburg today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Edmund’s
Church in Ellenburg.
Burial will be in the parish
cemetery

ELLENBURG CENTER –
Hilary Rae LaBombard, 17, of
Ellenburg Center, died Sunday,
July 1, 1990, as the result of an
automobile accident.
She was born in Plattsburgh
Feb. 2, 1973, the daughter of
David LaBombard and Sandra
(Finlayson) LaBombard.
She would have been a senior
this fall at Northern Adirondack
Central School
Survivors, all of Ellenburg
Center, include her parents; a
half-brother. Chad David
LaBombard; paternal grandmother,
Esther LaBombard;
maternal grandmother Joan
Finlayson; and several aunts,
uncles and cousins;
Calling hours will be held at
E.F. Drown Funeral Service in
Ellenburg Depot from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. today. A funeral service
will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday
at St. Edmund’s Church in
Ellenburg. Burial will be in
Whispering Maples Memorial
Gardens Mausoleum in Ellenburg
Depot.

L. LaBombard, 46, of Ellenburg
Center died Friday, June 1,1984, at
CVPH Medical Center.
She was born 26 Dec 1937 in
Malone, the daghter of Maynard
and Sara (Miller) LaBombard.
Survivors include her mother,
Mrs. Sara LaBombard of Ellneburg
Depot; two brothers, Lorin LaBombard
of Ellenburg Center and Roger
LaBombard on Ellenburg Center;
and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the E.F.
Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot.
Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday
at St. Edmund’s Church.
Burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made
to St. Edmund’s Cemetery or the
Ellenburg Center Rescue Squad

Friday afternoon at his home here.
He was born March 29, 1909 in
Ellenburg Center the son of Amos
and Louise (LaClair) LaBombard
He is survived by his wife, the
former Sara Miller of Ellenburg
Center; two sons, Lorin and Roger
LaBombard of Ellenburg Center; a
daughter. Miss Jean LaBombard,
also of Ellenburg Center; five
brothers, Clarence and Herb of
Ellenburg Center, Harold
LaBombard of Massena and Harry
LaBombard of Merrill and Donald
LaBombard of Belmont; two
sisters, Mrs. Armeada Boadway
and Mrs. Dewey (Helen) LaClair,
both of Chateaugay.

will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday and Monday. Funeral

a.m. in St. Edmund’s Church,

Amos LaBombard, 97 died Monday
evening in Beekmantown.
He was born Nov 15 1878 in
Ellenburg Center, the son of Joseph
and Lena (LaBarge) LaBombard.
Survivors include six sons; Maynard
LaBombard, Herbert LaBombard
and Clarence LaBombard, all
of Ellenburg Center; Harry
LaBombard of Merrill, Harold
LaBombard of Messina and Donald
LaBombard of Belmont Center;
two daughters, Mrs. Dewey
(Helen) LeClair of Chateaugay,
and Mrs. Thomas (Armina) Bodway
of Ellenburg; 48 grandchildren,
several great-grandchildren
and four great-great
grandchildren also survive.
Calling hours at the Drown Fun-
eral will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
today. services will be held
10 a.m. at St. Edmund’s Church in
Ellenburg.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Funeral services for Clarence
LaBombard, 76, who died Friday
morning at the CVPH Medical
Center, were held Monday at 11
a.m. at St. Edmund’s Church in
Ellenburg.
The Rev. John Weir celebrated
the Mass.
Bearers were Richard, David and
Lorin LaBombard, Norman Tourville,
Andy Miller and Francis Rondo.
Entombment was in St. Edmund’s
Cemetery vault to await spring

Clarence LaBombard
ELLENBURG CENTER –
Clarence LaBombard, 76, was pronounced
dead on arrival at the
CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh
Friday morning.
He was born May 23.1901 in Ellenburg
the son of Amos and Louise
(LaClair) LaBombard.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Victoria Miller; two sons,
James and Eugene, both of Ellenburg
Center; four brothers, Herbert
of Ellenburg Center. Harry of Merrill,
Harold of Massena, and Donald
of Chateangay; two sisters. Mrs.
.Dewey (Helen) LaClair of
Chateangay and Mrs. Armeda
Bondway of Chateangay; and eight
grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at the
Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today
and Sunday.
Funeral services will be conducted
Monday at 11 am at St Edmund’s
Church in Ellenburg. Entombment
will be in St. Edmund’s
Cemetery in Ellenburg to await spring
burial.

Mrs. I.A. Shatraw
Died Wednesday Last
Mrs. Delia Shatraw, wife of Israel
.. Shatraw, of 85 Fort Covington St.,
passed away at the Alice Hyde Hospital
last Wednesday afternoon. The
deceased under went an operation the
previous Saturday and failed to rally,
gradually becoming weaker until the
end.
Mrs. Shatraw was born at Ellenburgh,
Clinton county, sixty years ago.
She became the wife of Mr. Shatraw
forty-three years ago. They resided
in the town of Ellenburgh until fourteen
years ago, when they established
their home in Malone. She was a woman
who possessed a kindly disposition
and was a loving wife and mother,
a true friend and a loyal neighbor.
She was a communicant of Notre
Dame church and was a member of
the Holy Rosary Society.
Besides her husband she leaves surviving
five daughters and four sons:
Mrs. Ellis Dumont and Mrs, Lester
Dumont, of Malone; Herbert, of Carter;
Ovid, of Lyon Mt.: Ross, of Malone;
Wilfred, of Albany: Mildred, of
New York; Mrs. R. F. Santy, of Amsterdam,
and Helena, of Malone: one
sister, Mrs. David Martell, of East
-Hampdon- Mass.,-and two brothers.
Will LaBombard, of Athol, Mass., and
Louis, of Clinton, Mass.

The funeral of Joseph Labombard was at
tended Wednesday morning by a pro
cession of over fifty teams. Mr. Labombard
was a man of faithful character and never had an enemy but always
made friends and retained then-.
He was a faithful church man and a
true man in every respect, and our
community will miss him
