Mrs. Joseph Gagnier
Mrs. Joseph Gagnier of Churubusco
died yesterday morning at the
Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home.
She was 94.
The former Evelena Rufiange, she
was born In Valleyfield, Quebec,
Nov. 27, 1863. On Oct. 6, 1884, she
was married to Joseph Gagnier of
Churubusco. He died In 1945.
A lifelong resident of Churubusco,
she was a member of St. Philomena’s
Church and the Rosary Society
of that parish.
Surviving are one son, John, of
Churubusco, and three daughters,
MM. Edgar (Stella) Rushford, Mrs.
Patrick D. (Lillian) Ryan and Mrs.
Olaf (Beatrice) Patnode, all of
Plattsburgh. Two daughters, Sister
Mary Irene of the Ursuline Order
and Irene Gladys and one ion
Austin W„ *pre-deceased her; also
surviving are 16 grandchildren and
29’great grandchildren.
The body is at the John Gagnier
residence. Funeral services will be
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Phllomena’s
Church in Churubusco.
