Albert Bailey Sr. dies
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Albert
Bailey Sr., 79, a retired North Country
businessman, died Wednesday,
Feb. 9,1983, at Port St. Lucie, Fla.
He was born Aug. 2, 1903, in
Nashua, N.H., the son of Frank and
Mary (Bouchard) Bailey.
He was the former owner and
operator of Bailey Ford in Dannernora
and was a resident of Port
St. Lucie and Dannemora.
He was a member of the Clinton
County Automobile Dealers
Association. He operated the Ford
dealership from 1934 until his retirement
in 1970. He was a member of
the Dannemora Knights of Columbus
and Pittsburgh Lodge of Elks,
and was^a charter member of the
Dannemora Lions Club.
He leaves his wife, Albina
Pellerin Bailey; three sons, Al
Bailey Jr. of Lyon Mountain,
Roderick Bailey of Alden and Lloyd
Bailey of Malone; a brother,
Leonard Bailey of Dannemora; five
sisters, Mrs. Blanche Wood of
Rouses Point, Mrs. Charles
(Gladys) Welch of Chazy Lake,
Mrs Elmer.(Florence) Gagnier of
Ft. Myers, Fla., Mrs. Jennette
Guthril of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Mrs.
Madelon Cole of Lake Worth, Fla.;
and seven grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the
O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral
Home in Plattsburgh.
Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Monday at Assumption of
Mary Church in Redford
Entombment will be in the parish
cemetery vault to await spring
burial.
