Robert L. “Bob” Brod, 91, of Loveland, died June 19, 2002, in Loveland.
He was born June 18, 1911, in Dayton, Ohio, to Louis A. and Clara Dunnbeck Brod. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1934 with a degree in electrical engineering. He married Jeannette Trick on Oct. 19, 1935, in Dayton. He worked for Public Service Co. in Denver for 25 years.
He was a major in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1941 to 1945 and was honorably discharged.
He was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Denver for many years. He enjoyed traveling and put many miles on the family’s Air-stream trailer. He was a devoted husband and father.
Mr. Brod is survived by his wife, Jeannette Brod of Loveland; two daughters, Gretchen Howland of Greeley and Virginia Crandell of Stevens Point, Wis.; a brother, John Brod of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Martin.
Memorial services will be 10:45 a.m. today in the activities room at The Wexford, 1515 W. 28th St.
Cremation has been conducted.
Inurnment will be at Poudre Canyon Chapel Columbarium in Bellvue at a later date.
