Clara A. Rammel
October 16, 1915 – March 5, 2015

Rammel, Clara, age 99, passed away Thursday March 5, 2015. She died peacefully in her sleep looking out the window up toward heaven. She was born October 16, 1915 in St. Henry, Ohio to the late George and Rose (Schultz) Schoen. Clara lived a long and fulfilling life as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a seamstress at Walker Clothing Store in downtown Dayton for many years. After retiring she continued with hobbies in sewing, quilting and needlepoint. She loved gardening especially raising roses and orchids. She shared her love with family by baking cookies, cakes and pies. Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Adolph Rammel; by all her siblings; by a daughter, Barbara Ann Rammel; and by a son, Robert A. Rammel and his wife, Susan Rammel. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ralph Steinlage; by grandchildren, Rebecca Rammel, Michael (Kelly) Rammel, Robert J. (Yvonne) Rammel, Cindy (Eric) Kulikowski, Viki (Kevin) Kroeger, and Laara (Matt) Doorley; by great grandchildren, Heather and Emily Rammel, Colin, Maxwell and Tessa Kroeger, Morgan, Abby, and Mitchell Doorley. Visitation will be at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. on Sunday March 8th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1322 Brown St. in Dayton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
