Cecile V Bruce
Saranac-Cecile v Bruce , 85, of Saranac, died Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont.
She was born in Saranac on May 13th, 1918, the daughter of Loren and Lena (Hart) Seney. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora, and enjoyed bingo, and listening to fiddle music.
Cecile is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: Carl and Shirley Bruce of Saranac, Fred and Shirley Bruce of Schuyler Falls, Allen and Tina Bruce of Saranac, Loren and Pam Bruce of Saranac, two daughters and sons-in-law: Lorraine and Jim Collins of Loris., S.C. and Lena and Fred Balch of Lumberton, N.C., her caregiver and grandson Bruce and Joann Balch of Hinesburg, Vt; two brothers: Lawrence Seney of Chazy Lake and Clifford of Newcomb; aister Theresa LaVarnway of Lake Pleasant; a brother-in-law; Leonard Abare of Newcomb, 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
Her husband, Albert Bruce, died on October 12, 1992. Three brothers, Robert, Clifton, and Loren Seney and a sister Rita Seney also died earlier.
Calling hours will be held today, March 1, 2004, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm at the O’Neil-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Internment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
