Alfred A. Agnew

PLATTSBURGH — Alfred A. Agnew, 87, of the Brown Road, Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Beekmantown, NY, on September 23, 1924.

Alfred retired as a Firefighter from the City of Plattsburgh Fire Department in 1973 after 23 years of service.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Marie Agnew and a son, Gary Agnew.

Alfred is survived by a son, Mark Agnew and his wife June of Keeseville, N.Y.; an adopted son, Scott Agnew of Plattsburgh; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
