Ronald J Trick

TRICK Ronald J. Trick, 63, of Powell, Oh., passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, hiking the scenic Red River Gorge in Kentucky. While his adventurous spirit will live on in the memories of family and friends, he will be greatly missed. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially wilderness hiking, canoeing and camping, and served as a volunteer for the Metro Parks of Central Ohio. He was born on April 23, 1945 to Edmund L. Trick and Roberta E. (Heckel) Trick in Dayton, Oh. Ron graduated from Chaminade H.S. in Dayton, Oh. (1963) and received two degrees from Ohio State Univ., B of ARCH (1968) and M. of ARCH (1971). He practiced as an architect and building code consultant until his retirement in 2006. He was previously a principal with Wetherby, Goodman, Trick, AIA, and an associate with Trott & Bean Associates, AIA. He served on the Board of Directors of Ohio Design Professionals & Code Analysts, Central Ohio Code Officials Association, and Ohio Building Officials Association. Preceded in death by his father Edmund L. Trick, brothers John Kevin and Christopher A. Survived by his loving wife, Sheryl L. (Wiley) Trick; mother, Roberta E. Trick of Dayton; daughter, Natalie A. (Nick) Cenci; and step-sons, Larry L. Marioth and Joseph E. Marioth, all of Columbus; brothers, Timothy (Dorothy) Trick, Barry Trick (Terry Faust), Gerald (Connie) Trick, Douglas (Dolly) Trick, Steven Trick, Bertrand (Joy) Trick; grandchildren, Alexandra Cenci, Madeline Cenci; step-grandchildren, Karsen Marioth, Kennedi Marioth; and a host of nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, Oh. 43065. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, Oh. 43065. Burial Sunset Cemetery.
