Glenn E. Scott, 84, died at 3:10 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Stokes Township, Logan County, to Samuel H. and Nettie E. Dobie Scott, who preceded him in death. He married Maxine E. Doseck, who survives in Wapakoneta.

Mr. Scott retired from Copeland Corp., Sidney. He loved to work with tools. He was always considerate of others and would help anyone.

Survivors also include three children and stepchildren, Ambert (Elizabeth “Betty”) Scott and Phyllis Dew, both of Wapakoneta, and Kathleen Copeland, of Sidney; five grandchildren, James M. Withrow Jr., Jeremy Withrow, Glen Orwig, Brian Scott and Eric Scott; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Scott, of Palmdale, Calif.; and a half brother, Gerald Wells, of Wapakoneta.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy E. Scott and David Joseph Copeland; two grandsons, Jason Withrow and Ricky Orwig; three brothers, Leland, Ernest and Floyd Scott; a sister, Hazel Howell; and a half sister, Juanita Stamm.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor Mark Bauer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the activities fund at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
