ANNA – Rose Evelyn Fogt, 84, of 502 E. Main St., Anna, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 1:35 a.m. in Jackson Center.

She was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Logan County, the daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Brown) Shoffner.

On March 6, 1945, she married Duane W. Fogt, who preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1996.

She is survived by brother-in-law and companion, Wayne Akers of Jackson Center; four children, Gary D. Fogt and his wife Jenny, and Mrs. James (Diane) Strunk, all of Sidney, Mrs. Rodney (Marlene) Collins, and William Fogt and his wife Chris, all of Anna; a brother, Cecil Shoffner of Sidney; three sisters-in-law, Doris Wrigley, Deloris Fogt and Joan Shoffner; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Akers, Agnes Starrett, Mabel Snider; infant sister, MarthaShoffner; and brothers, Fred, Marion and Lloyd Shoffner.

Rose was a homemaker, and enjoyed helping her husband on the farm for many years. She was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, in Anna.

Graveside Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Pearl Cemetery, in Swanders, with the Rev. Michael Althauser officiating. There was no public calling hours prior to graveside services.

Funeral arrangements were being conducted by the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave.

Memorials may be made to Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Drive, Sidney, in memory of Rose Evelyn Fogt.
