Kenneth D. Shoffner

PIQUA – Kenneth D. Shoffner, 46, of Piqua, died at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, as a result of an accident.

He was born in Sidney on Oct. 7, 1963, to Donald D. and Patricia (Bothel) Shoffner, Sidney.

On April 19, 2005, he married Vicki Cantwil. She survives.

Kenneth is also survived by three children, Hunter Shoffner, Lillian Shoffner and Ian Shoffner, all of Piqua; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Allen and Debbie Cantwil, of Piqua; grandmother, Joan Shoffner, Sidney; one sister, Rosemary Shoffner; one brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Kellie Shoffner, of Port Jefferson; three nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews; and a large number of friends.

Kenneth attended Houston High School, Houston. He then attended Miami Jacobs School of Nursing for one year.

Kenneth proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve for four years at the Troy Armory.

He worked at Ross Aluminum in Sidney as a machinist for 10 years.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with Pastor Phil Delorme officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fifth Third Bank Memorial Account in care of Lillian, Hunter and Ian Shoffner.
