News Death Notice

TRICK, Francis J. Age 75 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Marie (Brinkman) Trick, two sisters, Carmelita Stang and Angela Kinnard and a brother, Edmund Trick. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa I. (Johnson) Trick. He is also survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: David and Cynthia Trick of Beavercreek, Robert and Janice Trick of NC, Anthony and Nancy Trick of Beavercreek and Stephen and Michelle Trick of Lebanon. Four Daughters also survive him: Karen and David Deeter of MI, Patricia and Glenn Snowden of MO, Deborah and John Toth of FL and Katherine and David Tunney of Cincinnati. Three sisters, Anita Thomas and husband Harold, Virgila Murphy and husband Bob and Clarissa Murphy also survive him, as do two brothers Al and wife Rita Trick and Jerome and wife Joani Trick and eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Francis was a graduate of Chaminade High School in 1947 and GMIT in 1951. He retired from GM as an engineer in 1987 following 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Brigid Parish in Xenia and the Wednesday Work Group at St. Brigid. He was an avid woodworker, hunter and fisherman. A Mass of Christian Burial wilt be celebrated by Fr. Kenneth Schartz at St. Brigid Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 10 AM. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME BEAVERCREEK Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Monday evening, June 6 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:15 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton or the Mimi Valley Hospital Bone Marrow Dept. in Francis’ memory. Francis’ family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the bone marrow dept., 5th, floor, Miami Valley Hospital.
