Franklin Delano Agoney Sr.

ELLENBURG DEPOT— Franklin Delano Agoney Sr., 77 of Ellenburg Depot passed away Sunday, May 29, at his home with family and friends by his side. Franklin Agoney, Sr. was born December 24, 1933 in Chazy Lake, N.Y., the son of Louis and Helen (Garrow) Agoney. He married the late Shirley Ann (Rabideau) Agoney.

Mr. Agoney loved caring for his farm and animals. He loved being around his grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. Franklin loved going to BINGO and trading animals.

Survivors include, one brother, John Agoney of Ellenburg Center, his daughter, Darleen Eldred and her husband, John Eldred of Ellenburg Depot; his son, Ricky Agoney and his companion, Paula Lindsay of Willsboro; daughter, Victoria Agoney of Tennessee; son, Franklin Agoney, Jr. and his companion, Claira Rabideau of Ellenburg Depot; son, Brian Agoney and his wife, Julie of Ellenburg Center; son, Eric Agoney and his wife, Regina (Brassard) Agoney of Chazy; son, Jessie Agoney and his companion, Amanda Dupee of Altona; Daughter, Nocole Agoney and companion, Melissa Martin of Ellenburg Depot; daughter, Amanda Agoney and companion, Ryan Duprey of Ellenburg Depot. He is also survived by good friends, Diana Duprey and William Duprey as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the Ross Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home chapel. Following the service, interment will be in Holy Angel’s Cemetery in Altona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.

Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home, 5059 Route 11 Ellenburg Depot, NY 12935.
