Theresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; her life revolved around her family. She loved to cook and clean and make home always a wonderful place to come back to. She especially loved our family gatherings.

Theresa loved baseball, always rooting for the Boston Red Sox, but she especially loved watching her grandson, Kevin Gadway, play high school baseball.

Theresa married the love of her life, Arthur M. Gadway, June 5, 1946.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Gadway and his wife Debbie of Mineville, N.Y., Linda DuRoss and her husband Ernie of Port Henry, N.Y., Nancy LaMour and her husband Robert of Witherbee, N.Y., and Kevin Gadway and his wife Marlene of Crown Point, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Stephen Gadway and fiancée Melissa Demrest, Eric Gadway and fiancée Amy Jordan, Erin and Donnie Hachey, Amy and Lee Garvey, Julie and Thomas Ferguson, Sara Cooper, Heather and Nathan Heald, Joella Cooper and Kevin Gadway; her great-grandchildren, Alexa Cyphers, Eric Gadway, Cora Jordan, Matthew and Zachary Demrest, Leah Garvey and Ava and Oliver Ferguson; her sister, Irene Brassard and her husband Arthur; her sisters-in-law, Mary Gadway, Thelma Gadway and Ruth Nephew; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Gadway; her brother, Benjamin Nephew; and her sister, Frances McNeil.

A special thanks to our Aunt Mary Gadway for being with our mother throughout the summer and fall, giving her daily care, taking her to doctor’s appointments; just for being there when we could not be.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church in Mineville, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theresa’s memory to All Saints Church, 17 St. Patrick’s Place, Port Henry, NY 12974 or to the Cardiac Unit at CVPH, c/o the Foundation of CVPH Medical Center, 75 Beekman St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
