Jessica L King

PLATTSBURGH — Jessica L. King, 27, of Montcalm Avenue, died Saturday morning, Dec. 6, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on June 12, 1981, the daughter of Ricky and Beth (Regan) King.

Jessica graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1999 with high honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. She then attended Plattsburgh State and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in communications in 2006. Currently, she was attending Clinton Community College for nursing.

Jessica’s life revolved around her daughter, McKenna, and she had been a Head Start volunteer while McKenna attended.

Survivors include her daughter, McKenna Cummings of Plattsburgh; her parents, Ricky and Beth King of Plattsburgh; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Beverly Gillette of Lakeland, Fla.; a step grandmother, Lois Regan of Copake, N.Y.; two sisters, Stacey King of Richmond, Va., and Erin King of Albany, N.Y.; one uncle, Gerald Regan of Los Angeles, Calif.; four aunts, Christina Dannussi and her husband, Darrell of Lyon Mountain, Sheryl McNeil and her husband, Michael of Ellenburg Depot, Carla McComb and her husband, Ross of Mooers Forks, Lisa King of Ellenburg Corners; and several great aunts, uncles; and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to Mr. and Mrs. Ricky King for McKenna’s college fund either at the funeral home or mailed to 107 Montcalm Ave., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
