Henry G. Tavernier

DANNEMORA – Funeral services
for Mr. Henry G. Tavernier,
85, who died Wednesday, Jan. 5,
1983 at the CVPH Medical Center,
were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St.
Joseph’s Church.
The Rev. Roger Martin
celebrated the mass.
Bearers were Herb Herron, Ed
Buck, Marshall McGuire, Leonard
Tavernier, Henry Gonyea and
Eldon Turner. *
A large delegation of correction
officers acted as honorary bearers.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s
Cemetery in the spring.

Henry G. Tavernier

DANNEMORA – Henry G.
Tavernier, 85, died Wednesday,
Jan. 5, 1983, at the CVPH Medical
Center.
He was born Jan. 9,1898, in
Churubusco, the son of Robert and
Mary (Besaw) Tavernier.
Mr. Tavernier worked at the Clinton
County Correctional Facility for
more than 30 years. He was a
member of the Third and Fourth
Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Yvonne Gagnier; four sons,
Raymond Tavernier of Dannemora,
Lawrence Tavernier of Isabella,
Minn., Gerald Tavernier of Veraen,
Conn., and Francis Tavernier, of
Piano, Texas; seven grandchildren,
four great-grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral
Home in Pittsburgh.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church in
Dannemora.
Entombment will be in St.
Joseph’s Cemetery to await spring
burial.
