Plattsburgh — Addie Julia Yelle, 96, formerly of Chateaugay, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001 at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
Born in Ellenburg Center on June 25, 1904, she was the daughter of John and Sarah (Miller) Dominic.
She was married to Herbert Yelle on Dec. 29, 1919, in Ellenburg, by Rev. Boyer.
Mr. Yelle predeceased her on May 31,1968.
Mrs. Yelle is survived by a son-in-law, Harold Brooks of Chateaugay; three grandchildren, Janice and Paul Shannon of Plattsburgh, Lloyd and Margo Keysor of Buffalo and Jim and Gina Keysor of Plattsburgh; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elsie Menard of Oxford, Flora Lashway of Oxford and Beula Forkey of Vestal.
Those that preceded her in death were two daughters, Helma Brooks and Ina Keysor; three other children in infancy; a grandson, Butch Brooks; a son-in-law, Art Keysor; two brothers, Albert and Edward Dominic; and three sisters, Hazel Fellows, Eva Lashway and Lula Alford.
Mrs. Yelle was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Chateaugay.
She was employed at the hotel in Lyon Mountain and, upon moving to Chateaugay, worked at the Chateaugay Hotel for several years.
Mrs. Yelle was a member of the Court of St. Helen 100 Catholic Daughters and St. Patrick
