Clifford N. Lancto

ELLENBURG DEPOT – Clifford
N. Lancto, 78, died Thursday,
March 14,1985, at the CVPH
Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born Feb. 10, 1907, in
Lyon Mountain, the son of Nelson
and Delphine (Sorrell) Lancto
Mr. Lancto was a psychiatric
aide at Harlem Valley State
Hospital in Wingdale for 17
years, before his retirement in
1913.
lie married Laura Varin July
31, 1932, in St. Bernard’s Church
in Lyon Mountain.
Besides his wife, he leaves
three sons, James Lancto of
Bloomingdale, Leon Lancto of
Champlain and Earl Lancto of
Margate, Fla.; two daughters,
Mrs. Shelby Goggin of
Hollywood, Fla., and Mrs.
William (Elsie) Schmeelke of
Lockport; one brother, Mack
Lancto of West Chazy; five
sisters, Mrs. Lillian M^har of
Ticonderoga, Mrs. Fred (Mag)
Porter of Mooers Forks, Mrs.
Loyal (Leona) Rabideau of
Wingdale, Mrs. Vivian Miller of
Ellenburg Depot and Mrs.
Eunice LaMountain of Plattsburgh;
17 grandchildreen and
six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be at the
Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. today and Sunday.
Funeral services will be held 10
a.m. on Monday at St. Edmund’s
Church in Ellenburg.
Burial will be in St. Edmund’s
Cemetery in Ellenburg in the
spring.
