PERU — Adam Allen Jarvis, 24, formerly of Peru, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006.
He was born in Burlington, Vt., May 4, 1982, the son of Mark A. Jarvis and Mary L. (Lennon) Jarvis.
Adam was a 2000 graduate of Peru Central School. His education continued at Clinton Community College, where he graduated with an associate’s degree. He later completed the CVPH Radiology program. He was currently employed as a Radiologic Technologist at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington.
Adam was a thoughtful, kindhearted person. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson and friend. He always put everyone before himself, and he gave to everyone, without expecting anything in return. With his extraordinary determination and perseverance, he overcame many hurdles in his life.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Jarvis of Morrisonville; his father, Mark Jarvis and his companion, Amanda Hapeman of Peru; one sister, Lauren Jarvis of New Hartford; one brother, Brent Jarvis of Morrisonville; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Helen Jarvis of Peru; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Blodwyn (Harris) Lennon; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Jarvis.
Calling hours will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church with the Rev. William G. Reamer, CVPH Chaplain, celebrating and the Rev. Alan D. Shnob, pastor, concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Adam’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.
Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.
