Henry O. Boyea

Henry O. Boyea, 70, Chateaugay died Monday, March
12, 1984 in Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, Vt.
Born in Churubusco March 9, 1914 he was the son of
Oliver and Anna Mae Yelle Boyea.
Henry a devoted family man will be affectionatelyremembered
for his determination to cope with a stroke that
disabled him in 1977. Although his ability to speak was
limited, he took great pride in doing daily chores and carpenter
work in his shop. He enjoyed touring the area in his
power driven vehicle and greeting friends.
He was a master mechanic with International Union of
Operating Engineers, Local 106, retiring in 1976 with more
than 30 years membership.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s church, Chateaugay
and a member of Knights of Columbus Wadhams
Council 469 Chateaugay.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lavina M. Patenaude,
whom he married Jan. 2,1939 in St. Patrick’s church: four
sons, Jack, Leo, Bill and Ron, all of Chateaugay; three
daughters, Mrs. Joyce Passino of Malone, Mrs. Gerald
(Helen) Ryan and Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Cook, both of Chateaugay;
14 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Angeline Lamitie
of Malone, Mrs. Thomas (Rose) McGovern of Ocoee,
Fla., and Mrs. John (Minnie) Patnode of Chateaugay.
He was predeceased by four brothers, John, Julienne,
Eugene and Peter; and five sisters, Anna, Georgiann, Eva.
Zoa and Victoria.
Funeral services were held Thursday at II a.m. in St.
Patrick’s church, Chateaugay. Burial will take place in the
parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of the family. Steven, John,
Brian and Jack Boyea, Joel Passino and Michael Jarvis.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Chateaugay
Rescue squad or Heart association.
