Edith Brown
Brown, 85, died Saturday morningat
Placid Memorial Hospital.
She was a longtime resident of
Saranae Lake, living at 9 Van Buren
She was born in Whippleville on
June 15, 1895, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph St. Louis.
She was married to Charles W.
Brown, who died May 13,1960.
Mrs. Brown was a seamstress for
Edelburg’s Furrier, sewing linings
in fur garments.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs.JDorothy Rochester
and Mrs. Eleanor Gothier, both of
Saranae Lake and Mrs. Muriel Rafferty
of Batavia; seven grandc
hildren and six great –
Calling hours will be at the
Keough and Son Funeral Home 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. *
A Bible vigil service will be held
at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
A mass of Christian burial will be
held Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. at St.
Bernard’s Church
Burial will be in the parish
