Nettie M. Santori

PLATTSBURGH � Nettie M. Santori, 96, of Leonard Avenue, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home.

She was born in Mooers Forks on Jan. 13, 1904, the daughter of John and Agnes (Miller) LaValley.

Nettie married Michael Santori at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks in 1926. Mr. Santori died in 1986.

Mrs. Santori was a member of St. John’s Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. She worked for Pall Blade for 10 years.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Mrs. Ephraim (Carmela) Defayette of Morrisonville and Helen Santori of Plattsburgh; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Helen Nephew of West Chazy, Leona Mooso of Nevada, Irene Nephew of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Stephen (Mildred) Percey of Ingraham; and many nieces and nephews.

Three sisters, Mary Goodman, Ida Hebert and Lillian Blades and three brothers, Edward LaValley, Zepher LaValley and Amos LaValley, all predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Memorial donations may go to St. John’s Academy.
