Maynard A. “Bucky” Lafountain

Altona � Mr. Maynard A. “Bucky” Lafountain, 55, of Woods Falls Road, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born in Mooers Forks on Aug. 30, 1945, the son of Norman and Lillian (Lashway) Lafountain Sr.

He was employed as a Field Superintendent by Monahan and Loughlin Roofing Co. for 36 years. He was a member of Local 241 and was a foreman. Bucky was an avid hunter, NASCAR racing fan and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of Holy Angels Church in Altona.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wanda (Boulrice) Lafountain of Altona; his mother, Lillian Lafountain of Altona; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Lafountain and his companion Tammy Graves of Altona and Shawn and Jackie Lafountain of Altona; a daughter and a son-in-law, Tracy and Timothy Graves of Altona; four brothers and four sisters-in-law, Gerald and Loretta Lafountain of Altona, Norman and Sandy Lafountain of Champlain, Clarence and Paulette Lafountain of Mooers Forks and Wayne and Peggy Lafountain of Altona; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Lafountain of Altona; three grandsons, Cory, Casey and Cody; and several nieces and nephews.

Bucky was predeceased by his father, Norman Lafountain Sr.; his brothers, Ronnie, Larry and Kenny; and a sister, Mildred Lashway.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. from St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks.

Interment will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona.
