Andrew J. LaValley
J. LaValley, 72, died Sunday.
Jan. 6,1985, at the CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born Dec. 1, 1912, in
Mooers Forks, the son of Joseph
and Celinda LaValley.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Genevive Bosley, three
sons, Walter of Champlain,
Ronald of Mooers Forks, and
Richard of San Antonio, Texas;
two daughters, Mrs. Sam
(Marie) Trombley of Ellenburg
and Mrs. Roger (Eileen) Blow of
Marlton, N.J.; one sister,
Florence Davidson of Platt
sburgh; four brothers, Philip,
Oliver, and Fred LaValley all of
Mooers Forks; and Noah
La Valley of Plattsburgh; 20
grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
He was a member of the Third
and Fourth Degree Knights of
Columbus in Mooers, and also St.
Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks.
He was a farmer in the area for
many years, and he was also a
bus driver for Northeastern Clinton
Central School for 27 years.
Calling hours at the Drown
Funeral Home in Mooer$ will be
held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wedne’sday
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Friday in St. Ann’s
Church, Mooers Forks. Burial
will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery in
the spring.
The Third Degree Knights are
asked to meet at the funeral
home at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Donations may be made in Mr.
LaValley’s name to the Mooers
or Champlain Volunteer Fire
