Helen M. Nephew
WEST CHAZY — Helen M. Nephew, 91, of Fiske Road died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 at CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Mooers Forks on Aug. 10, 1914, the daughter of John and Agnes (Miller) LaValley.

Helen married Benjamin Nephew in 1933 at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Benjamin died in 1980.

Mrs. Nephew was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Altar Rosary Society of West Chazy.

She worked in packing and shipping for Delegar Corporation for 18 years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include three sons and four daughters-in-law, Edward and Joyce Nephew of Lady Lake, Fla., Roger and Donna Nephew of West Chazy, Steven and Connie Nephew of Chazy Lake, and daughter-in-law, Doris Nephew of West Chazy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Benjamin King of Chazy Lake and Theresa and Joe Baker of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Irene Nephew of Plattsburgh and Mildred Percy of West Chazy; 21 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Lawrence Nephew and Bernard Nephew, and one daughter, Carolyn Nephew.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
