Albert LaFontaine

CHAMPLAIN — Albert LaFontaine,
88, died at his home in Champlain
Sunday.
He was born in Champlain Jan. 1,
1890, the son of Peter LaFontaine
and Dulcine Roberts.
He worked at the Lozier Automobile
Works in Plattsburgh. He
operated a garage in Champlain
and also a welding shop.
He is survived by his wife, Lizzie
Manor of Champlain; two sons,
Charles of Champlain and Albert of
Plattsburgh; three stepsons, Albert
and Peter Ashline of Champlain and
Frank Ashline of Mooers; one
daughter, Mrs. Henry (Margaret)
Lavoie of Champlain; two stepdaughters,
Mrs. Roy (Dorothy)
Smith of Champlain and Mrs.
Robert (Loretta) Stewart of St.
Petersburg, Fla.; 24 grandchildren
and 37 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours at the Clark
Funeral Home in Champlain are 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
Funeral ^services will be held
Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Church in Champlain. Burial will
take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery
