Theresa Margaret Ormsbee
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Theresa Margaret Ormsbee, age 78, daughter of Rosanna and George Rasco and the wife of the late Joseph Franklin Ormsbee, passed away Feb. 13, 2007, at her home. She was formerly a longtime resident of Baileyton and a homemaker. She grew up in Saranac, N.Y., and was a member of Assumption of Mary Catholic Church, where she served as president of the Altar Society. Locally, she was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Ormsbee; a granddaughter, Faith Anne DeFazio; a grandson, Jedediah Ormsbee; her brothers and sisters, all from New York: Guy Rasco, Josephine Collins, Eva LaFountian, Elmore Rasco, Edgar Rasco, Francis Rasco, Oscar Rasco, Clifford Rasco, Mabel Drollette and Fredrick Rasco.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Sarah Ormsbee Burger of Greeneville, Howard Ormsbee of Greeneville, Herman Ormsbee of Georgia, Rachael and Joey DeFazio of New York, Harold Ormsbee of Massachusetts, Harvey and Kathy Ormsbee of Greeneville, Ivan and Sarah Ormsbee of Hawaii, Mark and Chris Ormsbee of Greeneville and Philip Ormsbee of West Virginia; her grandchildren: Theresa Slemp of Greeneville, Joanie Guynup of Greeneville, Sarah Jean Chapman of Greeneville, Scott Gregg of Greeneville, Joseph Ormsbee of Greeneville, Thomas Ormsbee, currently serving in the military, Dustin Matthew Ormsbee of Greeneville, Jeremiah Ormsbee of Greeneville, Erina Ormsbee of Georgia, Shad Ormsbee of Georgia, Carmen DeFazio Henry of New York, Rosanna DeFazio Carbone of New York, Trishna Goodsell of Idaho, Misty Ogert of Massachusetts, Callie Foster of Massachusetts, Julie Feree of Greeneville, Brooke Pelfey of Texas, Rebecca Ormsbee of Greeneville, David Ormsbee of New York, Brooke Beal, Heather Beal of Illinois and Heidi Beal of Greeneville, Amber Conrad currently serving in the military, Kortney Hill of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Lindsay Ormsbee, currently serving in the military, Morgan Ormsbee, Hannah Ormsbee and Franklin Ormsbee, all of West Virginia; and also survived by 29 great-grandchildren; a sister, Laura Smart of New York; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father John Appiah, Father William Casey and Father Charlie Burton officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery in Baileyton.

Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ladies of the Council of Catholic Women; her special friends: Kat Wright and Josephine Pinckard; special nieces and nephews: Rose Plumadore, Mark and Gerry Rasco, Rosanna Pellitier and Elvis Rasco.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
