Maurice J. Gadway

HILLSDALE – Maurice J.
Gadway. 53, of Mitchell Street,
Hillsdale, died Wednesday, May
15, 1991, at his residence.
He was born April 26. 1938, in
Mooers, the son of Edward
Gadway of Witherbee and the
late Mildred (DeCoste) Gadway.
He had been a resident of
Hillsdale for the past 25 years
and was employed as a truck
driver for the Charter Supply
Company in Philmont. He was a
member of the Hillsdale United
Methodist Church and served in
the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to
1959. He married Carla (Mitchell)
Gadway on May 6, 1972,
in West Copake.
Surviving besides his wife and
father are Tour daughters, Rhonda
Halleran of Columbiaville,
Michelle Wheeler of Philmont,
Arthena Wheeler of Hillsdale,
Deborah Gadway of Hudson;
two sons, Michael Gadway of
Manchester Center, Vt., and
Randall Gadway of Great Barrington.
Mass.; three sisters,
Shirley Marinello of Moriah,
Rebecca Wolfe of Chicago, ,
and Christine Stone of Schroon
Lake; two brothers. Randy
Gadway of Moriah and Andrus
Gadway of Norwood; and seven
grandchildren. .
Calling hours will be held Friday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the Peck and Peck Funeral
Home, Church Street, Copake.
funeral service will be held on
Saturday at 10 a.m. at the
Hillsdale United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Judith
Mills officiating. Burial will be in
the Hillsdale Rural Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be
made to the Community Rescue
Squad, Copake, NY., 12516. or
Roe Jan Caring, c/o Mrs.
Yvonne Del Grande. Hillsdale.
NY., 12529 or to the Hillsdale
United Methodist Church,
Hillsdale, NY.. 12529.
