Joseph DeCoste

MOOERS — Joseph “Esmond”
DeCoste, 56, of Mooers, died
Sunday, July 5, 1992, at CVPH
Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 14, 1935, in
Mooers Forks, the son of
Eldemore and Bertha (Gadway)
DeCoste.
He had worked 25 years for
General Electric in Fort Edward.
He had also served in the U.S.
Air Force and the U.S. Navy active
reserves, and was a member
of the Champlain VFW.
Survivors include a son,
Joseph L. DeCoste of Rouses
Point; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth
(Mary) Smith of Lewis,
Sarah, Tammy and Tina
DeCoste, all of Mooers, and Mrs.
Gary (Kim) Rivers of Champlain;
his former wife, Doris DeCoste; a
long-time companion, Georgianna
Hogle; seven brothers, Victor
of Burlington, Vt., Marcel,
Lionel, Arthur and Gary, all of
Mooers, Leon of West Chazy and
Lawrence of East Greenbush;
three sisters, Mrs Samuel (Rita)
Demarais of Ellenburg Depot,
Mrs Michael (Sandra) Bechard
of Chazy and Mrs. Wayne (Linda)
Supernaw of Mooers; and
four grandchildren Crystal
and Angela Smith, Michele
Decoste and Brandy Rivers
Calling hours will be held at E.
F. Drown Funeral Service in
Mooers on Monday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian
burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday
at St. Ann’s Church in
Mooers.-Forks with burial to
follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in his memory may
be made to the American Cancer
Society.
