MOOERS – Bertha DeCoste.
76. died Tuesday. Dec. 6, 1988.
in Vermont Medical Center in
Burlington.
She was born June 5, 1912, in
Mooers Forks, the daughter of
Mose and Helen Houle) Gadway
Mrs. DeCoste was formerly a
member of the St. Joseph’s
Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband,
Eldemore DeCoste; eight
sons, Victor DeCoste of Burlington,
Esmond DeCoste of
Mooers Forks. Marcel DeCoste
of Mooers Forks, Leon DeCoste
of West Chazy. Lionel DeCoste
of Mooers, Arthur DeCoste of
Mooers, Lawrence DeCoste of
Rensselaer and Gary Decoste of
Mooers; three daughters, Mrs.
Samuel (Rita) Demarais of
Ellenburg Depot, Mrs. Michael
(Sandra) Bechard of Chazy and
Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Supernaw of
Mooers; three brothers, Edward
Gadway of Witherbee, Fred
Gadway of Mooers Forks and
Gilbert Gadway of Mineville:
five sisters, Ellen DeCoste of
Mooers Forks, Mary Girard of
Plattsburgh, Irene Cenci of
Mechanicville, Eva Lavarnway
of Maine and Edith Noe of
Florida; 42 grandchildren and 27
great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at
the E.F. Drown Funeral Home
in Mooers today from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. The Altar and
Rosary Society of St. Joseph’s
in Mooers will meet at 3 p.m. at
the funeral home. The Mooers
Knights of Columbus will meet
at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
The Mooers Fire Department
will meet at the funeral home at
H p.m. A funeral service will be
held at- 11 a.m. Friday at St.
Joseph’s Church, Mooers. Entombment
will be in Whispering
Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
