JOHN CHAMPAGNE, 62,
DIES VERY SUDDENLY!
John Champagne, for thirtyeight
years an employee of the Callanan
Family of this city, died
suddenly at about ten o’clock on
Saturday night. He was in the 62nd
year of his age.
Mr. Champagne was a member of
the St. John the Baptist Associa-
tion and a communicant of Our
Lady of Victory church.
Surviving Mr. Champagne are
his widow, two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia
Foster of Plattsburgh and Mrs.
Warren Butler of Atlanta, Ga., and
eight sons, John, Andrew, William,
Francis, Wesley, Leo, Dennis all of
Plattsburgh and Fred of Albany.
The notice of funeral will be announced
later.

BURIED YESTERDAY
Funeral Of Plattsburgh Man Was
Largely Attended At Our Lady
Of Victory Church
The funeral of John Champagne
who died suddenly Saturday night
was held from Our Lady of Victory
Church at 9:30 o’clock yesterday
morning and was largely attended
by relatives and friends. A Solemn
requiem high mass was sung by the
pastor, Rev. J. A. Bachand, assist-
ed by deacon and sub-deacon.
The honorary pall bearers, members
of the St. John the Baptist
Association, were Andrew Spinks,
Henry Brault, Edward Jandreau,
Victor Frechette, Alex Fredette and
Austin LaPointe.
The active pall bearers were 1
George Seltzer, Joseph Parrotte,
Daniel Herlihy, Peter Currier, William
Frechette and William Redick.
Burial was in St. Peter’s cemetery.
