Andrew Champagne, 64,
Dies of Heart Attack

Andrew Champagne, 64, of 10
Goff Ave., died Thursday morning
of. a heart attack suffered
on the job at the Imperial
Paper Co., where he has worked
for 20 years as a machine operator.
He was born in Plattsburgh
March 9, 1899, the son of John
and Rose (Facteau) Champagne.
He is survived by his mother,
who lives in Plattsburgh; his
wife, the former Lucille Senecal;
two sons, Andrew Jr. of
Plattsburgh and Donald of Glens
Falls; six brothers, John of Albany,
Fred of West Palm Beach,
Fla., William of Santa Rose,
Calif., and Francis, Leo and
Dennis of Plattsburgh, and two
grandchildren. Another brother,
Wesley, died in World War II.
Mr. Champagne was a veteran
of World War I and a
member of American Legion
Post 20. His fellow members will
meet at the Legion Home Friday
at 7 p.m. to pay their respects.
The body is at the Brown
Funeral Home where calling
hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held
Saturday at 11 a.m. at St.
Peter’s Church. The body will
be placed in the vault at the
parish cemetery to await burial
in the spring.
