Lawrence J. Cassidy

LAKE PLACID — Lawrence J.
Cassidy, 91, of Cascade Road
died Friday afternoon, Dec. 28,
1984, at the Uihlein Mercy
Center.
He was born in St. Antoine,
Que., June 2, 1890, the son of
George and Clarinda (Patnode)
Cassidy. His wife, Kathryn
Baker Cassidy, died in Lake
Placid Dec. 9,1982.
Prior to retiring in 1964, he had
been employed at the Lake
Placid Club for 46 years.
He was a member of Lake
Placid Council, Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two sons,
Gerald Cassidy of Lake Placid
and Daniel Cassidy of Indianapolis.
Ind.; five daughters,
Mrs. Catherine Niles of Warrensburg.
Miss Rita Cassidy of
Baldwinsville, Mrs. Eileen Efner
of Schenectady, Mrs. Mary
Sullivan of Hudson and Mrs.
Julia LaSalle of Syracuse; a
brother, Herman Cassidy of
Elmira; two sisters, Mrs. Leona
McCormick and Mrs. Claire
Dwyer, both of Chateaugay; 31
grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Calling hours at the Clark
Funeral Home in Lake Placid
will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. A Bible vigil service will
be held at the funeral home Sunday
at 8 p. m:
Funeral services will be held
Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes’
Church with the Rev. Peter
Riani, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
