Mrs. Langevin
Died Thursday

Mrs. Paul Langevin (Augusto
Ann) died Thursday, April
14th, at the Andrew Kaul Memorial
Hospital in St. Mary’s
Pa.
Mrs. Langevin was born September
10, 1872, in St. Antoine
Abbe, Que., the daughter of Maxime
and Philomena (Benoit)
Patnaude. There she married
Paul Langevin but most of their
married life was spent in Ellenburg.
After the death of
her husband in 1943 she made
her home with her children.
The last two years she has
been with her daughters, who
are in the Order of St. Benedict
at St. Mary’s. Pa. She also
has a granddaughter Sister
Kathleen in the same order.
She was a member of this
Third Order of St. Benedict and
also a member of Court St. Helen
No. 100 in Chateaugay for
many years.
Survivors include thrae sons,
Roderick Star Lake; Paul Buffalo
and Gerald, C S. Navy, at
Alburuerque, N. M.; six daughters:
Mrs. Jeannette Patnode,
Fort Jackson; Mrs. Clarinda
McQuaid, Buffalo; Sister M.
(Pauline) Angela; Sister M.
(Lillian) Paula; Sister M. ‘MariJp)
Bpwavienture anid Sister
(Augusta) Jean Marie, all of
the Benedicine Convent at St.
Mary’s, 32 grandchildren and
B!i great grandchildren; a sister
Mrs. A .F .Mochon, Txvng Beach,
California. A daughter Mrs.
Floyd (Mina) Warner and a
son Edgar predeceased her.
The late Mrs. E. G. S. Gagnier,
Churubusco; and Mrs. Clarinda
Cassidy, Chateaugay, were sisters
of Mrs. Langevin.
A solemn requiem mass was
celebrated at Sacred Heart Church
at St. Mary’s Pa., Monday
April 18. She was buried in
the robes of the Order and all
her children were present
