Ruth S. Goddeau
MORRISONVILLE ? Ruth S. Goddeau, 74, of the Sand Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Mrs. Goddeau was born on Dec. 27, 1927, in Chazy Lake, N.Y., the daughter of Louis and Helen (Garrow) Agony. She married Harold Louis Goddeau at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora in 1946; he died in 1984.

Mrs. Goddeau loved caring for her grandchildren and also enjoyed crocheting and other needlework. She worked at Arpak Plastics Company for 13 years, retiring in 1972.

Survivors include four sons, Edward Goddeau Sr. and his wife Tammy of Morrisonville, Robert Goddeau Sr. and his wife Judy of Schuyler Falls, Albert Goddeau of Michigan and LeRoy Goddeau and his companion Tammy LaFountain of Plattsburgh; three daughters, Carolyn Smith of Harken Heights, Texas, Alice Goddeau of Morrisonville and Sylvia Barnes of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, John Agony and Franklin Agony, both of Ellenburg Depot; two sisters, Theresa Haley and her husband David of Ithaca, N.Y., and Beatrice Shea of Ellenburg Center; 27 grandchildren; several great – grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. James’s Church in Cadyville.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
