  1. I am trying to establish a connection with the MILLER (MEUNIER)(LEGACY) families in NY. My paternal great grandmothers father was born in Chateaugay NY 1820…LEVI OLIVIER MILLER. It is family story that he changed his name from Legacy when he moved to MN. Wife was PHILAMINA LAPENSE. They are listed in 1870 census as being in Kent, Putnam Co. NY. 6 of their children were born in NY – Samuel 1861; Josephine 1863; Mariam 1864; Mary E 1866 (my gr.grandmother); Martina 1869;Martina 1869; Joseph 1871. Others were born in MN – Napoleon 1881; Peter 1883; Ammag 1894. Does Levi’s name show up anywhere in your line? Thanks for any info you can provide. Elaine
