William Patnode dies at 90,
was Ellenburg supervisor

William E. Patnode,- 90. a former
Town of Ellenburg supervisor and
civic leader. died at his home here
Monday morning”.
Born Oct. 12. 1883. he was.the son
of Peter and Delia (Gagnier)
Patnode of Churubusco:
He operated a general store in
Ellenburg Center for about 40
years. He was a member of the
school board and a town of
Ellenburg suppervisor for 12 years
He also served as chairman of the
Clinton County . Board of Supervvisors
He was a member of the
Lake Champlain Bridge. Commission
and the Ellenburg Chapter
of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Vesta Gilmore; three
sisters, Mrs. Fred (Stella) Maggini
of Larchmont. Mrs. Starr (Martha)
Cambelle of Lehigh Rights, Fla..
and Mrs. Bessie Broderick of
Calling hours at the Drown
Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot
will be from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm
today. Funeral service will be
held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at St.
Edmunds Church in Ellenburg.
Burial will, be-in the Riverside
Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
